So if you are hankering for a little Sloppy action, but want to cut out the disgusting ground mystery beef than this sandwich is right down your sloppy alley. You can make it with tempeh (as pictured) or TVP, and it is so easy I will just list the ingredients here!

.5 onion, 2 bricks of tempeh, 1 28 ounce can of tomato sauce, soy sauce, dijion mustard, garlic, ketchup

Sautee the onion and garlic. Add the tempeh (you should steam it for 10 mins before hand) and saute till brown crumbling the tempeh along the way. Add the tomato sauce, 1 tbs of mustard and 2 tbs of soy sauce and .5 cups of ketchup. Simmer for 10 minutes and serve it up! If you are using TVP, saute the onions and garlic then add all the ingredients at ounce plus .5 cup of water). If you want it to taste more “tomatoy” add 2 tbs of tomato paste.

So it is getting cold out and that means it is time for some warm soup. I made this little number tonight and it turned out just dandy. Feel free to take away or add any vegetable you want, and don’t be afraid of using frozen green beans because I was and it turned out great.

The stuffed tomatoes go good with the soup or just about anything else. However, I wouldn’t recommend eating them alone as they aren’t all that filling.
